WOOD YOU LIKE
Wood You Like is a small, Irish-owned woodcraft business producing handcut jigsaws, toys and puzzles in solid wood at different levels of complexity for all ages.
We use salvaged Irish hardwoods like beech, ash and walnut. All the wood is dried in our own kiln and we take great care to use toy-tested, non-toxic paints, finishes and lacquers.

Wood You Like JIGSAW TOYS
Wood You Like toys are suitable for all children aged 3 upwards and range from simple multicoloured jigsaws with large pieces to jigsaws with several layers.
From elephants to fairytales, there is something here to please every child.
We have jigsaws of ducks, cows, dinosaurs, fish, penquins, sheep, swans, squirrels, giraffes, camels, parrots, tortoises ... and a lot more besides.

Wood You Like LAYERED JIGSAW PUZZLES
Wood You Like produce a wide range of layered toys in strong birch ply. Each layer unfolds to reveal a different scene beneath.
In the Cat and Fiddle puzzle here, each layer reveals another stage of the nursery rhyme. If you click on the Cat and Fiddle image here, you will see another layer of the Cow jumping over the Moon. Subsequent layers show the little dog laughing to see such fun and finally, the dish running away with the spoon.
Other puzzles reveal smaller and smaller versions of the main picture or different stages of a fairytale.
As with all our toys, all stains and lacquers used are non-toxic and toy-tested, so children can safely spend hours playing, and learning, with our toys.
Wood You Like JIGSAW NAMES
Wood You Like offer personalised jigsaw names in plain or multicoloured solid wood. Everything from Anne to Zoë is in stock.
We can incorporate accents, hyphens, question marks - just let us know what you want. We can make any name you like - perfect for that present with the personal touch.
Or simply say it in wood - for Valentine's Day? Mother's Day? Birthday? Make it a lasting message and show you care - in plain or coloured wood.
Wood You Like THREE - D JIGSAWS
For the executive in your life, our unique three-dimensional puzzles, handcut from solid walnut, elm or yew can be specially commissioned or ordered from stock.
Examples range from musical instruments to hunting birds to company logos. Tell us or show us what you want and we will make it for you.
Wood You Like WOODS
Wood You Like use many different types of hardwoods. See the difference in grain and texture - Beech, Walnut, Ash, Elm and many more. Each wood has its own particular beauty and each has its particular uses. .
Wood is naturally a very durable substance. If not attacked by living organisms, it will last for hundreds or even thousands of years. Freshly-cut wood contains considerable water, which amounts to from one-third to more than one-half of the total weight. The drying of wood before it is processed into timber is called seasoning. Wood may be seasoned either by air-drying or kiln-drying. We at Wood You Like air-dry our wood and then kiln-dry it in our own kiln so that we can be sure it has the correct moisture content.
The main woods we use are Ash and Beech for the toys and names, and walnut and yew for our three-dimensional puzzles.

We aim to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Wood You Like uses the national postal service for deliveries. Items in stock are normally posted within 3 days of order. Items which are not in stock are posted within 14 days of order. Specially commissioned items - depending on the level of complexity - may take longer. Contact us for any special commissions.
Wood You Like PRICES and ORDERS
You can order by email, by phone, by phone or by post. The simplest way is to contact us and give us your name and contact number. We will phone you back and take your order. Nothing is simpler. Our contact details are on every page of the website. Try it and see. Easy as it gets.
We accept Visa and Master Card credit cards. Your credit card is charged in Euro. Your credit card company will convert the amount from Euro to the currency in which you are billed. If you are in Éire you can send a cheque in Euro, made payable to Wood You Like.
All prices quoted are in Euro. Postage is extra and is charged at the current Postal Rate.
